Following the creation of the Mackay Isaac Whitsunday (MIW) Future Employment Study and Greater Whitsunday Future Skills Roadmap, GW3 approached Future Anything to catalyse the findings from the reports through the creation of a series of region-specific career education modules.

Future Anything led a collaborative co-design process with and educators in the region which led to the creation of ten-lesson career education units for Years 7, 8, 9, and 10 (forty lessons in total); ensuring schools can provide a well-resourced, future-focussed and whole-school approach to careers education that is relevant to young people in the MIW region.

In 2020, CESA approached Future Anything to work with them to build the entrepreneurial mindset of their students and teachers.

Future Anything designed and facilitated a series of teacher and student network days and workshops that contextualised entrepreneurial education authentically within CESA’s school settings. Learning took a trans-disciplinary approach, integrated with 21st Century thinking and pedagogies, with a focus on the CESA Key Capabilities. Much of this project took place at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, with Future Anything rapidly transitioning the program to virtual delivery.

Future Anything works closely with the team at _SOUTHSTART, Australia’s impact and innovation festival to design, host and facilitate the engagement of school-age participants at this high profile event. .

Taking place at _SOUTHSTART, Future Anything hosts fast-paced days of listening, learning and doing that bring hundreds of high school students into the heart of the _SOUTHSTART action. We feature some of Australia’s most inspiring young changemakers and innovators, as well as a range of engaging, hands-on ideation  activities that empower students to ideate, prototype and pitch for-purpose solutions to the problems that matter to them.

In 2021, Queensland Social Enterprise Council (QSEC) reactivated a youth-led initiative (“Impact Youth Reimagined”) to engage Queensland’s young people with and within purpose-led organisations and to build opportunity for young people to access the support and skills to launch/scale their own purpose-led organisations.

Working alongside a range of youth and key sector stakeholders, Future Anything and Impact Boom designed and facilitated a four-day workshop series that placed young people (12-24) at the forefront of the co-design process, and culminated in a showcase event with teams of young people pitching their own innovative prototypes for a Brisbane youth social enterprise ‘hub’ and an annual youth ‘event’ to amplify youth voice in the purpose-led and social enterprise space.

Since 2019, Future Anything has worked with a host of forward looking, innovative organisations across Australia to embed our immersive, in-curriculum Activate program in the schools in their regions.

Working on a co-funding model, with the partner and schools contributing equally, schools can access all of the benefits of the Activate program- including extensive teacher professional development, fully resourced curriculum and post-program student pathways- in their choice of subject, from English, Civics and Business to Science or STEM. Over 35 schools and many hundreds of students have benefited from these partnerships, with the majority of schools continuing with Activate long after co-funding has ceased.

When Queensland’s Western Downs Regional Council wanted to engage young people in their region in entrepreneurship and social enterprise, they turned to Future Anything.

We created a ten part Launch+ youth business program that steps young people through some of the key things they need to know to launch a business – including building a Business Models Canvas, branding, marketing, competitor analysis, nailing your value proposition, funding, pitching and more.
