Sam Newman

Head of Programs

Sam is an internationally decorated educator whose guiding principles are founded within an inquiry-based approach to learning. As Future Anything’s Head of Programs,  Sam is the friendly and supportive key contact and relationship manager for schools participating in our entrepreneurship programs.

Sam’s time as a teacher saw him work in schools in Australia, New Zealand and Hong Kong, holding various teaching and leadership roles. During his time at one of Hong Kong’s leading international schools, Sam was responsible for the design and implementation of a whole school inquiry-based curriculum. He also has spent time supporting schools and teachers to develop best practice surrounding wellbeing and believes that a successful education is one that starts with a holistic approach.

More recently in Australia Sam has worked in the educational not-for-profit space where he specialised in coaching and consulting within schools helping them to embed citizenship and leadership practices into curriculum and school culture.

Sam is also a passionate entrepreneur and is the founder of Get Hooked Fishing Camp, which he created with the intent of combining topics of sustainability, conservation, mindfulness and human impact all whilst developing each student’s understanding of their identity, self-confidence and stress management.
