EcoDrive from Loreto Kirribilli (NSW) was crowned the winner of the Future Anything National Grand Final 2025 at a sell-out event at the State Library of Queensland in Brisbane last night.
The event marked the thrilling finale of Future Anything’s in-curriculum innovation program, Activate, which this year saw over 8,000 young people across Australia ideating, prototyping, and pitching real-world solutions to the problems that matter to them.
Eight teams of school-age entrepreneurs pitched their innovative, scalable and sustainable social enterprise ideas live on stage, before facing tough questions from judges Anthony Ryan (Chief Executive Officer, Brisbane Economic Development Agency), Dr Dimity Dornan (Co-Founder, Chair and Board Director, Bionics Gamechangers Australia), and Nicole Forrester (Chief Regenerative Officer, WWF-Australia)
The evening was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Queensland Government and a host of incredible partners and prize sponsors, each helping to equip the next generation of changemakers with the resources, connections, and confidence to launch their ideas into the real world.
On announcing the pitching winners, judge Nicole Forrester said “Congratulations to everyone who pitched, it was so incredible to hear you all. It really was a tough decision to find light between eight incredible teams, who brought such passion, potential and purpose.”
