About Future Anything

Future Anything transforms young people’s passion and creativity into innovative ideas that make their world a better place. Our mission is to create enterprising students, empowered educators, and future-ready schools. What do we mean by ‘enterprising’?

enterprising: marked by an independent energetic spirit and by readiness to act

We do this through:

  • In-curriculum Entrepreneurship: Activate is our flagship program that builds enterprising mindsets in every classroom, empowering young people to ideate, prototype and pitch innovative, scalable and sustainable solutions to the problems they care about. In 2022, there are 5000+ students and 180+ teachers in close to 50 Activate schools.
  • Teacher Professional Development: We design and deliver engaging educator PD; unpacking the ‘what’ and, more importantly, the ‘how’ of an innovative and future-focussed approach to teaching and learning. In 2022, our PD will reach over 1000 primary and high school teachers
  • Student Workshops: Over one, two or five days, our student workshops are fast paced days of listening, learning and doing that ignite students’ enterprising mindsets. In 2022, we’re delivering workshops to over 6000 young people in primary and high schools across Australia.
  • Partnerships: We partner with innovation bodies, education organisations, governments and others to spark innovative projects that drive entrepreneurial change in schools, communities and regions.

About the Role:

The Program Director (Engagement) will lead the development, delivery and growth of Future Anything’s suite of engaging student-facing workshops. They will be lead facilitator for our one, two- and five-day workshops for students in Years 5 – 12. Workshops take place in a diverse range of primary and secondary schools across Australia (primarily in QLD, NSW & SA) during school term times.

Using Future Anything’s Entrepreneur’s Odyssey as the pedagogical vehicle, you’ll take young people from looking inward at personal passions and lived experiences, igniting their enterprising mindsets to analyse the real-world problems that matter to them, before ideating, prototyping and pitching impactful solutions.

On occasion, if suitably qualified, the Program Director will also support the delivery of Future Anything’s Teacher Professional Development Workshops and other associated large-scale events and learning experiences.

  • Leadership & Portfolio Growth (15%) – working with the CEO/Founder, you’ll look to the future to develop the vision and strategic direction of our student workshop programs, identifying and implementing sustainable improvement and growth opportunities. As the portfolio scales, you may use your leadership skills to build and lead a team of facilitators delivering workshop programs across Australia and internationally.
  • Workshop Facilitation & Learning Design (55%) – Using your knowledge of the latest in entrepreneurial pedagogy, design thinking and Project-Based Learning and your outstanding communication skills, you’ll design and deliver 1-, 2-, and 5-day workshops that maximise student engagement, achieve targeted learning outcomes, and meet KPIs.
  • Logistics & Program Management (20%): You’ll be the friendly and credible ‘on the ground’ contact for schools engaging in student workshops, liaising with key contacts before, during and after workshops, and managing all logistics to ensure everything runs smoothly and exceeds expectations. You’ll develop and implement best practices to maintain a strong brand presence and a consistently high-quality experience for the delivery and evaluation of all workshops.
  • Organisational Contribution (10%): While leading our Student Workshop programs will be your primary focus, you’ll also be part of the Future Anything leadership team, working alongside the CEO/Founder and colleagues to develop the broader strategic direction of the organisation. You’ll contribute to other Future Anything activities that support the smooth running and ongoing growth of the organisation and that align with your own professional interests/aspirations.
