Powered by Future Anything, the Big Ideas Challenge is a fast-paced and hands-on day of listening, learning, and doing culminating in teams of students pitching their own innovative solutions to a complex, local issue.

This year once again, thanks to the support of some awesome partners, we’re taking the Big Ideas Challenge on the road.

Students in Years 5-13 will hear from some of Australia’s most inspiring changemakers, as well as explicitly developing their enterprising thinking and human-centred design skills.

HOSTING PARTNERS

Absolutely recommend the Big Ideas event for all schools. We took a range of Year 8-10 students, from Business, Digital Technologies, and Design and Technologies classes. They all seemed genuinely engaged with the presentations and the design process. I believe our students took away powerful memories that may very well impact their future decisions.

[The Big Ideas Challenge was] A truly authentic experience where students were given opportunity and hope to believe in their entrepreneurial ideas.

Zandra StennettThuringowa State High School, QLD

The Big Ideas Challenge is a wonderful opportunity for students to work in a uniquely collaborative setting with the aim of solving real-world problems using human-centred design. Not only do they collaborate with one another, students are also afforded the benefit of working with input from local leaders in government, business, industry and academia. If educators want to see engagement and energy, I cannot recommend this event enough.
