2022 has been another record year for Future Anything’s Activate in-curriculum school entrepreneurship program with over 5000 students and 160 teachers in more than 50 schools across Australia bending the future, one youth-led idea at a time.

One Monday 24 and Thursday 27 October, 40 teams of high schools entrepreneurs from across Australia battled it out in eight live National Semi Finals.

Pitching live online to 24 epic judges from the worlds of social entrepreneurship, education, tech and innovation, teams showcase their innovative, scalable and sustainable for-purpose business solutions designed to solve the real-world problems that matter to them.

The winners of each of the eight National Semi-Finals now progress to pitch live at the Future Anything National Grand Final 2022. In addition, our Runners Up and People’s Choices will feature at the National Grand Final in our showcase expo.

FUTURE ANYTHING NATIONAL SEMI-FINALS 2022 WINNERS

These teams progress to pitch live at the Future Anything National Grand Final 2022 on Monday 21 November.

Semi Final 1 Winner:

Accessimaps – Loreto Kirribilli, NSW

Accesimaps is an app used to assist people who are physically marginalised, by using technology to provide accessible features which help improve their daily lives.

Semi Final 2 Winner:

Happy Koala (Ferny Grove SHS, QLD)

Semi Final 3 Winner:

Savii (Ferny Grove SHS, QLD)

Our product is a savings app that is designed to hold consumers back from engaging in instant gratification from purchases to empower them through finances.

Semi Final 4 Winner:

Kufiyahs for a Cause (Brisbane South SSC, QLD)

My business is selling authentic kufiyahs made in Palestine to raise awareness of their fight for freedom and support their final surviving kufiyah business.

Semi Final 5 Winner:

Just To Let You Know You’re Not Alone (Kildare College, SA)

A social enterprise that is making cutlery with laser engraved words of affirmation to support and encourage people with eating disorders in their recovery journey.

Semi Final 6 Winner:

Eco Bed (Marymount College, QLD)

Australia’s only sustainable recyclable anti-chewable dog beds made out of Kevlar material.

Semi Final 7 Winner:

PrimeSlime (Redbank Plains SHS, QLD)

PrimeSlime is a social enterprise business that produces fragrant smelling slimes in eye catching containers intended for young children at an affordable price.

Semi Final 8 Winner:

colourme (Kenmore SHS, QLD)

Themed washable and reusable tables cloths ideal for restaurants, cafes and home entertainment, for children to colour in with washable markers.

Semi Final 1 Runner Up:

The B Ball Bin (Emerald SHS, QLD)

The B Ball Bin is an innovative solution to pollution by combining a popular sport (basketball) with a worldwide problem (pollution).

Semi Final 2 Runner Up:

Green Canteen (Loreto Kirribilli, NSW)

A reusable container system for school canteens and workplaces.

Semi Final 3 Runner Up:

Portafier (Yarrabilba SSC, QLD)

A portable water filter that can be used anywhere for any reason. It is made for people enable to access safe drinking water.

Semi Final 4 Runner Up:

SustainaBee Made (Loreto Kirribilli, NSW)

Our social enterprise sells sustainably made beeswax candles containing seed packages. All proceeds are donated to the ‘Wheen Bee Foundation’ to solve bee population decline.

Semi Final 5 Runner Up:

SuppliED (Springfield Central SHS, QLD)

SuppliEd supplies school supplies to the children of South Sudan through a buy-one give-one system based here in Australia.

Semi Final 6 Runner Up:

Keyrings for Change (Foxwell SSC, QLD)

Keyrings For Change is an alternative to non-environmentally friendly, problematic plastic keyrings and a way to satisfy your social conscience with an innovative solution.

Semi Final 7 Runner Up:

Strawberry (Kildare College, SA)

A social enterprise that handmakes, bio-degradable paper straws that can be broken down and transformed into a strawberry plant.

Semi Final 8 Runner Up:

Waste2Warmth (Fairholme College, QLD)

Our Waste2Warmth blankets consider both the problems of fast fashion waste as well as homelessness. Through this, we have created a blanket using preloved clothing.

Semi Final 1 People’s Choice:

Chainless Totes (Corinda SHS, QLD)

Chainless Totes is a social-enterprise, that sells tote bags made without slavery to educate the customer on slavery, and give 50% of profits to IJM.

Semi Final 2 People’s Choice:
