Future Anything secures People and Planet First Verification.
Future Anything joins a select cohort of leading social impact enterprises in Australia and around the world by achieving the prestigious global People and Planet First verification.
Around the world there is a growing movement of enterprises that prioritise people and our planet over private profit. They include social enterprises, cooperatives, fair trade enterprises, social businesses and others.
People and Planet First is a banner that unites this global movement. It provides a verification system that recognises trusted country-based and global certifications, provides verification in countries where these do not exist, allows access to resources and strengthens collective advocacy.
Together, as a global network of partners and verified enterprises, verified organisations are transforming business and building an economy for everyone to thrive, within the means of our living planet.
In achieving People and Planet First verification, Future Anything has demonstrated that our growing organisation has met a range of key requirements including:
- Purpose: People and Planet First enterprises exist to solve a social and/or environmental problem.
- Operations: People and Planet First enterprises prioritise purpose, people and planet over profit in operational decisions.
- Revenue: People and Planet First enterprises have a self-sustaining revenue model, or are working towards one.
- Use of Surplus: People and Planet First enterprises reinvest the majority of surplus towards their purpose.
- Structure: People and Planet First enterprises have chosen legal structures and financing that protect and lock-in purpose long term.
Nicole Dyson, Founder & CEO of Future Anything, said “We’re extremely proud that Future Anything has achieved People and Planet First verification. As a small but rapidly scaling social business, creating meaningful impact for young people, educators and their communities is at the heart of all we do. This verification helps us to articulate just some of the ways in which that impact is so important to us.”
Nicole added We’re excited to be part of such a powerful global network of social and fair trade enterprises, cooperatives, not-for-profits, social businesses and more who are united in our desire to play a part in accelerating the transition to a new global impact economy.”
