- Revenue: People and Planet First enterprises have a self-sustaining revenue model, or are working towards one.
- Use of Surplus: People and Planet First enterprises reinvest the majority of surplus towards their purpose.
- Structure: People and Planet First enterprises have chosen legal structures and financing that protect and lock-in purpose long term.
